When we thot he ran out of boxes.. Maru found a new one to conquer!
So wise. Maru has figured out more about life than me!
He will do anything he doesn’t care very daft but he’s lovely and cute looks so cuddly I love maru and his chubby cheeks

And it is great to have Hana around so we can compare both cats behaviors. That way we can really tell that Maru’s antics are unique. As a cat person, I also love Hana❤. But we have to say that Maru is special.
Maru, 12 years old this year!
Not a thing has changed besides a few additional ounces and possibly a few extra white hairs.
He’s still the same box-obsessed Scottish kitty!
Maru might have been voiced by the late Alan “Scrooge McDuck” Young with a Scottish accent if he ever got his own animated series or live-action talking animal show.
And Hana still wonders, “What is wrong with this cat?!?”

It’s funny how these two are so different. Maru has always been so curious, leading to him amazingly figuring out how to solve some problem that will allow him to fulfill his curiosity. His adoring sister (sort of) most of the time just watches and wonders WHY, Maru? That is one of my favorite things about these two is seeing Hana, in the distance, wondering what Maru is up to now, and why the heck he wants to in the first place. My favorite is Pushcart and Maru (i think). Right at the end, as Maru moves past, there is (skinnier) Hanna peeking around the corner to see just what silliness her brother is up to now.

Maru is an artist. His specialty is to use found objects for their interesting architectural space. If he had opposable thumbs, I’m sure he’d be a master architect.

Always remember, what looks uncomfortable to us humans is perfectly comfortable to a cat. As long as the cat is partially in, the job is complete. Just remember, “if i fit, i sit,” and “if i don’t fit, i still sit, and stay.”
