The kitty thought that her playing on the piano was similar to when a cat makes lots of noise on the scratching post, as a sort of bid for “look at me, see how splendid i am” and was trying to respond with attention, which is sort of the point of splendid piano playing.
I wonder if this cool cat can play “The Cat Concerto.” Lang Lang said that watching that Tom & Jerry cartoon as a young child is what first got him interested in playing the piano.
