Wow, this is almost like boot camp for cats. I think that even Maru was surprised that he could pass. I love the captions and that Hana and Maru loved the challenge.

Hana just used her brains and jumped over. Maru thinks hes smaller than he is and refuses to concede to the smaller slot. 😊💙
At 8 cm it becomes clear that Maru’s butt is too large 😁
I love your experiment, because I actually have garden fencing with quite big holes, but they don’t have the same height as your gap. I think I might do what you did to figure out if the cat can go through it .
Am I the rude one cuz my first thought when hana jumped was “see! Women are smarter! !” ? ?? Would Maru have jumped at that point had hana not done it first?

Maru enjoys squeezing through things. Too tight does not bother him as long as it’s something that will bend or break if he gets stuck.
In fairness to Maru, he could barely get his head through the 8cm gap, so it makes sense he’d have trouble getting his body through as well.
