The Furminator is an awful product. You can very easily over groom the cat and end up with a can with almost no fur. Just use a good brush a couple of times a week.

My family uses the Furminator on our dogs (we have an ACD and my aunt has a corgi, so naturally there’s some long fur to brush), and the hair just doesn’t end, you could sit there and brush the dogs all day long and fur would still come out. As much as the furminator gets the loose fur out, it just can’t get it all…
I have that for my dog. She loves it.

Furminators work great, but do keep in mind that there are little blades on there! Unless you push super hard you wont hurt them, but if you go overboard you can make a bald patch. It also may affect double coated animals, once their hair is cut it never grows back the same, it becomes coarser.
I was reading to double check and it seems like people have the most trouble using furminators on super super thick coated dogs, like some huskies
so that’s how they cats
Brush works great but my cat despises being brushed except her head and neck. She bite thru my hand on e because I tried to brush her back!

Omg this looks like my bb Chloe that passed, she looked just like this kitty and I used to brush her with a furminator and she loved it like this, she was a Maine Coon.
