What word do you use for what Maru’s doing? My family always called it “mixing”, which I always assumed everyone called it till a friend said his family calls it “marching”.
I hope you realize that Maru is actually humping the pillows, and mike cat, when he does that. He is mimicking cat sexual behaviour! You see the little hip thrust he makes? And his yowling while holding something in his mouth mimics how the male bites the females neck to hold her down. Plus he always licks “himself” after! While it is kinda cute and he is adorable in general, i think its kindof crude to video a cat humping a cushion! Give him some privacy!
I occasionally check on Maru because this channel seriously helped my depression a few years back. Maru is already 12 years old this year. I get upset knowing that the average domesticated feline lifespan is 15. 🙁 May Maru be blessed with good health and his legacy will live on

Are you sure that is what he’s doing? I’m wondering because I had a female cat who had the same ritual. She made the same sounds, crawled upon my teddy bears leg, bit into it and did the weird dance. She was a three-colored female. So wth was that? I never had a male cat, so I have no idea what their habits are. But what she did looked just like what Maru is doing to that plushie.
