Scene 2 – Maru’s turn in the box
Maru: gain way, in coming!
Hanna: fine, but that’s my window; I’ve marked it well with my own face.
Maru: have it your way. I’ll go out the way I came in.
[Maru attempts repeatedly to get out through the top hole]
Maru: [grunts with exertion] somehow this hole is smaller now!?! … well that’s a fine trick …
Hanna: [trying to not giggle] are you OK, brother Maru?
Maru: perfectly ::grunting::
Hanna: you seem to be having trouble coming out of the hole you came in through ::little giggle::
Maru: this must be a trick hole; it’s smaller since I jumped in
Hanna: did you eat so much in there that your tummy is now too big to fit???
Maru: What?! NO!
Hanna: the hole looks the same to me. Perhaps you grew! You are a very big, big brother. ::chortles::
Maru: no, and that’s not funny. If that hole is the same then I can make it.
Hanna: I’ll let you go through my window, as long as you don’t make it smell like you.
Maru: [silence] [walks out through window] we shall never speak of this.
Hanna: ::giggles::
Scene 3 – Hanna’s turn
Hanna: oh no I won’t, you can’t make me go through that hole. It smells of brother Maru. [goes through her window to retrieve treat]
Maru: I told you it was a tricky hole.
Hanna: that’s not why I didn’t go through.
Maru: Oh, why then?
Hanna: because it smells of you and I don’t want to look as silly as you did trying to get out! [lets out a big giggle as she runs away]
Maru: [to himself] I am calm, I am cool, nothing bothers me, I am master of all I survey, Hanna is a silly little sister, I will not be bothered by her silliness, I am above reproach, I am Maru.
[Hanna’s laughter can be heard from the distance, off screen]

There is one very early one, where Maru is no more than a couple years old. Everything is all packed in boxes, ready for moving, & there’s Maru rolling around in a paper basket bin – deliberately – then having a rest under a box with only his paws visible, promoting mum to ask if he’s been crushed!! I’ll try to find the link
