Once a feral cat decided to nest in our store room with her kittens. My parents didn’t like it and wanted to give them away but I fed her and the kittens when I got the chance.
She was so cute and so grateful she would rub against me and wanted me to scratch her even when she’s feeding her kittens. The kittens were cute but she won me over! Never bit, snarled or scratched just a sweet ol mom. She just went away one day, I still miss her sometimes.
Edit: she was a calico too!
I wonder if they miss their owner and that’s why they started acting like that. That is, if they aren’t a full on stray

There was this same kind of cat that meowed all the time and followed her human and love being petted when the cat was still a street cat. The lady who took care of that cat eventually brought her home and theres a video of her bringing home too and now she is the famous talkative affectionate adorable korean cat. The owner owns a youtube channels, name BboyangTV. This cat in the video and Bboyang are quite similar to me. If you were disappointed that the man didn’t take the cat with him, and want to know how these affectionate cats would react when they are brought home, checkout her channel since she(owner) did what you guys wanted.
I think that cat was trying to show you something by that drain. She was asking for help and knows affection with humans is the best way. First she got your attention and tried to walk you towards it constantly looking in that direction. When you left after stopping with her there she was trying to steer you back towards that place by cutting you off in a seemingly urgent manner and when she was getting desperate as you got too far she tried to climb you to make you realize that you were going the wrong way and it was urgent. Maybe she lost a kitten down there or something.

Well, it looks like a stray. You should check her belly to see if she’s either carrying kittens or is carrying milk. If she is pregnant, she probably wants a safe place to have her kittens. If she is carrying milk, then she likely already has kittens somewhere and needs food to replenish her milk. We had a cat like that growing up. Above all else, she looked out for her kittens.

This is why I don’t give stray cats attention. They get attached too easily. And you know you can’t bring them home or leave them. It’s heart breaking. I rmb playing with this kitten who I found in a storm drain just after it rained. I called my parents to bring it home and they refused. I rmb thinking I could just take a cab and take it home with me but was afraid my parents would be mad. I rmb sadly losing the kitten during a game of chase and walking away quickly so it could find only to hear it’s loud meows echoin loudly looking for me. I regretted it so much the next week when I went back to the area and looked for it but didn’t find him. 🙁 every since then I haven’t made an effort to socialise with strays. But I have adopted 2 cats since then. I can only hope strays get the same love and affection as our pets do.
