Here is the full DIY on how to make Neko Atsume kitties out of pistachio shells! The short version was from my 10 DIY Craft Hacks Using Everyday Items here (https://youtu.be/ERYr8tR-IKQ). I thought it would be fitting to declare your Neko Atsume – Kitty Collector (ねこあつめ) obsession to the world with a matching phone case ;D! Remember that like all decoden DIYs, this is a fragile, novelty phone case and it’s not meant to be squashed or bashed around in a bag. Please take care of it or only use for special occasions (e.g. your next manga con :3)!
This was also my first DIY decoden video and I had a lot of fun. This method can be used for all DIY decoden cases, simply replace the cats with cabochons of your choice. The trick is to arrange the pieces on the phone case BEFORE piping any cream and take a photo of how it looks to use as reference. Once you start piping, you cannot move pieces around or it will become messy.

Hope you enjoyed this NekoAtsume DIY! I’m still playing Neko Atsume though I’m slowly giving up hope of ever getting Tubbs to sit on the giant cushion T_T. Making decoden DIYs is very therapeutic. I recommend using a ready-made fake cream designed for DIY projects because it requires a lot of precision. I do have a video for DIY fake cream here (https://youtu.be/Y65ycTR6uUY) but it’s less suitable for a complex decoden like this because the DIY cream is often harder to pipe or susceptible to air bubbles.
