I do love Hannah’s care for Maru — though she’s always followed him in anything he does — now she does it to make sure he’s safe, I’m convinced. She’s such a dear! 💞💕💞

I’ve read that senior cats often develop arthritis in their shoulders. Also, Miri’s white paw touching Maru’s meat bun when they gathered for a nap was cuteness overload.

They are a wonderful little family. Maru is mom and dad to Hana. And Miri, while she was a young kitten when she came, who know what sad adventures took her away from her mother until she was saved? She is not afraid, she just has learned early on to be careful. Maru is the anchor.
The platforms on the cat tree look like they are a bit too small for Maru. He is a very large cat, after all.

Maru is a senior now – 15 years old – I know because my cat brothers were born in June 2007 just after Maru. After all those years of flying around, they still have the desire, but not always the confidence! Maru is unstoppable, though!

Miri is SO CLOSE to joining the cuddle pile! Honestly she’s close enough I’m just going to consider this an official three cat cuddle. It’s hot and she’s not much of a cuddler, sleeping that close and touching from time to time totally counts already!
Well done, old man! Maru is such a sweetheart. It’s so charming how Hana likes to curl up next to Uncle Maru. I’m surprised Miri is so cautious about jumping up to the top of the refrigerator. On the maple tree, she looks fearless!

At 1:17 – “No, I’m just planning my trajectory.” Maru is the king. I love how, as he’s gotten older, he cleverly adapts and finds new ways to do what he wants.
When Mugumogu showed him the swing again after a long time, I thought “Oh dear, is this going to be sad?” But watching him climb aboard, it was like no time had passed. I remember when he first learned how to use the swing. Rock on, Maru!
That’s the most comfortable position I’ve seen Maru&Hana cuddling together in a while. 😂😻
