給水機は、何年も前に使ったことがあったのですが、最初は珍しくて飲むものの放置状態になっていたので、その後長いこと使っていませんでした。最近は色々な給水機もあるので、もう１回導入してみます。（もうポチり済）
I used a water dispenser many years ago. But my cats didn’t use it, so I haven’t used it in a long time. There are many water dispensers on the market now, so I will try it again.

Lack of hydration will lead to premature kidney disease. Recommend to place multiple drinking fountains at home to encourage drinking. Also can feed more wet food eg for dinner time.

Wow, I didn’t expect that now. They are all so calm and dont want to flee. Good Cats! Dehydration is really a big Problem with cats, specially with older cats like Maru. Another Tip from me: Place little Cups or Peels in the most of the cats frequented Spots, filled with fresh water. Maybe they drink now more often. Sometimes it help, when you use a little Fountain 🙂

Maru&Hana&Miri did so well taking their water. Didn’t Maru used to drink out of the bathroom sink when he was younger? It was good to see Murray drinking on her own. Maybe you can consider getting one of those cat water fountains? Perhaps if they hear the sound of the trickling water, they’ll want to drink more on their own.

First, that was very gentle “forcing” ☺. And thank you for being such a wonderful cat “parent” and taking such good care of these kitties that we all love so much.
I’ve had to do this before when my younger cat would not go to drink!! She didn’t like it at first, but then she started to perk right up once she was hydrated!
You are a good cat parent! I was impressed at how calmly each cat tolerated the syringe.
1. Place multiple containers of water around the house, so that your cats don’t have to go very far for a drink, and the temptation is always within view.
2. Use drinking fountains, as moving water encourages the temptation to drink
3. Serve them wet foods, or even flavoured water
4. Force water supply if they seem to enjoy it 😀

Mugu-san, have you tried some water fountains for cats? Sometimes they just won’t drink it because the water isn’t running, so it feel stale for them. It worked with my cats before 🙂 Also wet snacks like Churu/Ciao might help too.
So lovely that they are drinking more, I wouldn’t call it force feeding….as they are not resisting being tube fed, no different to kittens being fed by the bottle.💕😻🐾
