我が家の3猫の中から、黒猫をモチーフにし、
グラデーションを思いっきり動かすことに挑戦した作品です。
原画は全て版画で描かれており、
短い中に、同版型を使うさまざまなバリエーションを試みています。
絵が動くというアニメーションの、シンプルな面白さを伝える作品を目指しました。
会場ではループをして展示できるように、何度もみたくなるアニメーションとして
クレジットも省略。音も絵もなるべくシンプルな構成にしました。
ちいさな猫の豊かなふくらみは、こぼれた色もキラキラと輝き
にじんだ色も優しく包みます。
ふわふわつやつやの黒ねこは、幸せの色をたくさん含んでいます。
Printmaking animation
(stencil technique with paints and pastels) 25 seconds
One of three cats of mine, I chose this black cat
to make the gradation of color move dynamically within the motif.
The original drawings are all created by printmaking.
In this short movie, many variations
using the same form of paper pattern are presented.
This work is aimed at delivering the fact that
animation is simply fun to watch as moving images.
To be able to loop it in exhibitions, credits are omitted,
with the sounds and drawings composed in the simplest way.
The plump body of the little cat makes the colors twinkle
which are spilled over it, and enfolds the blurred ones gently.
Find the colors of happiness in this fluffy and shiny black cat.

miiya’s bio
miiya is a printmaking artist and animation producer. She has a BA and MA in design at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her printmaking animation “enn”, which depicts the brightness of the lives, received the second prize at Tochigi prefecture printmaking exhibition 2016. miiya is a member of Tochigi prefecture printmaking association. She won the grand prize for “A Rainbow-Colored Black Cat” at NEKOISM 2017 and has been working on a picture book of the same title.
