5年くらい前にも同じ実験をしたのですが、みりが加わったのでもう一度猫の利き手を調べてみました。I did the same experiment about five years ago. Now that Miri has joined, I will check the cat’s dominant hand again.

Typical Hana, mater of fact & is dainty at using her left hand. Typical Maru, using right hand, failing that shoves his face in but with no success, so he then tries to push cup over with no luck, then success using his right hand. And now Miri. Right hand success, tries right hand again with no luck so plunges face in with success. Then fails with right hand so she swaps to left with success. Miri is like me, uses hand that gets the job done whether left or right! ❤😊🐱🐾🐱🐾🐱🐾🥛🥛🥛
Hana is the most dexterous. How funny was Maru trying to put his large head in the cup.

I remember the first time she did this. Mugumogu had one of her funniest captions. “Maru is face.” That’s our Maru. He has to get into every container, or at least try.
I’m laughing hard at Maru and laughing again at Miri turn, as expected as Maru’s pupil, she follow Maru example by using her head perfectly 😂😂
Maru got so excited when he got the treat near his mouth that he forget to maintain his grip. He slowly learned to be more disciplined on later tries.
Good for you Maru and good for Mogu for letting him learn. Even though that part was painful to watch.
One important thing we learned today is that Miri has a smaller head than Maru.

This is really interesting. Are cats born left-pawed or right-pawed, or do they learn it by observing the cats closest to them? Will Miri become a lefty like Hana or a righty like Maru or remain ambidextrous? I’ll be keeping a close eye on the mugumogu channel to find out! ^..^
