Maru content with his beer belt but looking over to Miri in the box will she surrender and hand it over ? Hana always checks Maru’s but does he smell any different today ? Miri is outgrowing the box resting her legs over the edge. Looks like peaceful coexistence.

I just love Maru; he’s so unique! ❤😃 I used to think Maru had only one facial expression RBCF (Resting Biotch Cat Face). But as I’ve watched more videos and gotten to know him, I realize that he has a very expressive face (with accompanying expressive tail wags/whips):
• “I fit in the box (victory!) but I’m not satisfied with the fit” look
• “I fit in the box and I’m pleased with the fit” look
• Side-eye displeased/annoyed/irritated look (like when Mugu makes box hole too small for his head)
• Blissed out smiling when being brushed
• Content expression (Laying on back spread eagle, relaxed on sofa, relaxing in hammock, etc.)
• Crazed “Here’s Johnny!” Jack Nicholas in ‘The Shining’ look when rolling out from under sofa with mechanic maneuver
• “Come at me Bruh!” look when bending down head cocked sideways, butt up, tail whipping inviting Hana to play fight
• Glazed eyes, total concentration when making biscuits
• “Curious/quizzical” look when he sees something new or interesting
• “Intense/focused” when he is actively problem-solving
♥️Clever Maru can take off his beer box with a paw instead of climbing on the stool as he usually does. Yes, a clever boy✨
