This reminds me of a childhood thing I used to do with my brother. We called it Softland- we put all our mattresses, sheets, comforters, pillows and stuffed animals into a huge pile and just chill in the utmost comfort. Good times. 😂

My cat had a bed, a cushion with raised sides, made from a similar material. She loved it, and would often lick it as if she was grooming another cat.
Hana and Miri knows that the fluffy cushion belongs to Maru, and that it’s better to stay off it.
The fluffy cushion may remind Maru of nursing on his mommy when he was a small kitten and that’s why he likes it so much. Notice that when he’s kneading the fluffy cushion he looks very relaxed, content and snuggles down for a nap after he’s finished.😻 When he kneads his kneading pillow (after a successful hunt 😀), his eyes are glazed over and he’s very tense.
Maru loves the fluffy elephant, but I love Maru more😄
Normally Maru is the strange one, but in this case, Miri and Hana are the strange ones for disliking the fluffy cushion. Most kitties would love it! I was overjoyed by the rare sighting of Loaf Maru in today’s video. Thank you, Mugumogu!

The fluffy cushion is soft like mommies soft belly… Maru’s kneading is actually ‘milking’, like kittens do to stimulate the milk production in mothers mammary glands. It means that Maru feals very happy…
I wonder if Hana and Miri avoid the fluffy cushion out of respect for Maru since they know he loves it so much? It’s nice that he has something so special to him all to himself 💛😺😻😺💛
