According to the character sheets, the boy (Neiro) and the cat-girl (Bianca) are actually in an established relationship, but Neiro was cheating on Bianca with that girl in the beginning.
Apparently, Neiro is easily bored, lazy, and kind of a scumbag when it comes to relationships. The sheets even saying that he would cheat on you if you were going to the convenience store.
Honestly, it’s rather interesting when compared to Loveit?/love eat.
In those songs, the boy, Kujina, was basically a complete victim through and through, all the while the girl, Maia, was basically a yandere butcher who constantly abused Kujina.
Here, while Bianca’s reaction is obviously way too violent and her subsequent breaking down of Neiro’s psyche is inexcusable, she’s at least a lot more understandable initially since she was cheated on, and Neiro is a lot less sympathetic than Kujina was, while still being a victim overall.
