俳優の北村一輝さんが8月17日、東京都内で行われた映画「猫侍 南の島へ行く」（渡辺武監督、9月5日公開）の完成披露イベントに白猫の「あなご」とともに登場。あなごは、人間でいうと80歳になる“美魔女ネコ”で、ドラマシリーズや劇場版第1弾で共演を重ねてきた北村さんは「本当に気持ちがいいし、おとなしい」と抱き心地を明かすと、「（他の共演者の誰よりも）一番、安心してできた」と撮影を振り返った。
「猫侍」は、“まだら鬼”の異名を持つコワモテの剣豪・斑目久太郎（北村さん）が、白猫の玉之丞（あなご）との出会いを通して変わっていく姿を描いた人気の時代劇シリーズ。本作は劇場版の第2弾で、剣術指南役の誘いを受けた久太郎が玉之丞を連れ土佐を目指すも、謎の忍者に邪魔をされ、南の島にたどり着く……というストーリー。玉之丞と黒猫のヤムヤムとの恋愛模様も描かれる。イベントにはヒロインを演じた映画コメンテーターのLiLiCoさんヤムヤム役の黒猫「ジャック」も登場した。

Actor Kazuki Kitamura with the white cat “Anago” attended the event to announce the completion of the movie “Neko Zamurai: Minami no shima e iku” (directed by Takeshi Watanabe, premiered on September 5th) held in Tokyo on August 17th. This is a “pretty witch cat”, 80 year-old if being a human. Kitamura, who acted together with the cat in the TV series and part 1 of the movie showed that it was really easy to cuddle with the cat: “I feel really comfortable, the cat is very nice”, and recalled the filming period: “It is a character that makes me feel the most peace of mind (more than any other co-star).”
